We are working on a new song . The Lyrics are not done but here is a instrument track. For those that are interested we are switching over to GARAGE BAND software for recording using the MAC computer that was recently installed in the Youth room at Church of the Rock!

New season and Schedule

I have posted our new fall shedule on the right hand side of the blog. There are two changes to note 1. We have moved to Monday nights. 2. We are now on a weekly shedule instead of biweekly. We are still at 7 p.m.-9:45.

We will be changing to Wednesday nights

This Tuesday is the last Tuesday that we have available because the Church services have been changed to that night of the week (at least for the summer). Song Writers Cafe will go on through the summer on Wednesdays every two weeks at 7 p.m. We are still on for this Tuesday June 28 @ 7p.m. See you there!

New way to do a quick song idea sketch.

Here is a link to software you can try out. You simply press record and sing into your computer mic and then the software uses your voice to form a simple chord structure. I find it great for a quick recording of a new idea. SONGSMITH

Update for last week

We had a great Cafe last week.  We are waiting on audio for it since the recording I made, or thought I was making, didn't turn out.  Orm had his recorder running so we have it I think.  God has blessed us with a new song each time we get together it is really exciting.  The coolest thing is it hasn't been dependent on one individual but since we are focused on working together to write God has blessed.  Keep on writing and come on out to share.

Song Writing.

Hi song writers! We have been talking about starting a blog for a while so here you go! Tim has an audio file of our last writing session and I was wondering if maybe we could get a link to that posted here. That way if you didn't make it out on Tuesday you can hear the crazy things we did. I will see if I can figure that out.
